Hi,

Please do not email me to inform me that you might email me. This message is superfluous and spammy. If you want to get in touch I prefer that it be via a personal message directed at me for the purpose of servicing my account with yourselves. I do not appreciate my inbox being filled with completely irrelevant emails whose sole purpose is to, via means of emailing me, let me know that you’ll email me; this is complete idiocy. If you need to tell me that you are worried about going into my spambox, I suggest three courses of action:

1) don’t send spam (this email is an example of spam)
2) configure your smtp daemon to cryptographically sign all outgoing email via DKIM and combine with appropriate SPF policy.
3) if you need to tell me that you’re still going into my spambox, maybe you could use the postal service which has served as a viable alternative means of communication for over a century. Or phone me.

Whatever your course of action, consider that sending a message via a medium that you don’t trust to get the message to me, in order to make said medium more trustworthy of getting the message to me, is a bit self-defeating, no?

Also, your legalese disclaimer at the footer of the email is 1) unenforceable by law, and 2) contradictory, see:

"If you have received this message in error, please delete it and all copies from your system and notify the sender immediately by return email.” .. "Please do not reply to this email.”

If I can’t reply to the email then how the heck am I supposed to inform the sender by return mail?!
